Guest Services team members will act as the primary provider of direct services to guests as they are entertained at the XFINITY Arena at Everett. Team members fill multiple staffing posts that may vary from event to event and are responsible for providing a safe environment for our guests. These posts include usher, ticket taker, supervisor, and guest services.
Responsibilities:
• Exceed guest expectations for service and satisfaction in all areas of the event experience. • Specific job duties may include collecting lost and found items, assisting with lost children/parents, resolving guest complaints, greeting guests, scanning tickets, ushering guests to their seats, and providing assistance whenever necessary. • Monitor guest conduct to ensure a safe and secure environment for all guests. • Monitoring the consumption of alcohol to ensure no under-age drinking is taking place and those guests consuming beverages are doing so responsibly. • Understanding and enforcing all policies and procedures. • Acting as a member of the emergency evacuation team by communicating with and directing guests during a facility emergency. • Completing on-the-job required training including Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management. • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age. • High school diploma (or GED) required. • Ability to work independently and remain flexible. • Must be able to understand and communicate in conversational English and follow verbal and written directions. •Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including long nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays as needed. • Ability to stand, sit, walk, and climb stairs. Team member is occasionally required to lift 10 lbs, unaided.
Desired Skills:
• Previous experience in a guest service role. • Exceptional guest and client service capabilities and interpersonal skills. • A positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding guest service. •.Ability to multi-task and be able to problem solve in order to effectively deal with customers and ensure we deliver the best possible experience.• While performing the essential functions of this position, employee will frequently stand and walk for long periods of time and climb stairs and/or ladders; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Employee will also use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. • The essential functions of this position are performed both indoors and outdoors in the weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environments is usually moderate to loud.
Hours:
Flexible. May include long nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays as needed.
Compensation:
Part time hourly, non-exempt, based on events scheduled.
