Global Spectrum congratulates the Everett Silvertips on welcoming their Two Millionth Fan tonight at the Comcast Arena at Everett. The two millionth fan, Dean Differding of Lake Stevens, was showered with confetti, courtesy of team mascot, Lincoln, and congratulated by team captain, Ryan Murray, and the team’s front office management.
The lucky two millionth fan walked away tonight with a prize package that includes season tickets for the Silvertips tenth anniversary season (2012-13), a game-used Ryan Murray autographed hockey stick, a Silvertips jersey, tickets to other Comcast Arena events, a paintball starter pack from Doodle Bug Sportz, and gift certificates from several other team sponsors.
When team owner, Bill Yuill, bought the expansion rights to the Western Hockey League franchise in Everett in 2002, one could only envision the impact the team would have on the city of Everett and surrounding communities. Wins in the U.S. Division in their first few seasons at Comcast Arena, galvanized the fan support and created a robust sense of community pride which continues to be seen with their strong fan support and ongoing ticket sales.
The Silvertips take on the Prince George Cougars again tomorrow night, Saturday, November 12 at 7:35 pm. Other upcoming games include Friday, November 18 vs. Portland Winterhawks and Saturday, November 19 vs. Vancouver Giants. Tickets are available now at www.comcastarenaeverett.com or 866.332.8499.
